There exists spiritual principles found in the Word of God that must govern our actions in order for us to conquer the nations for Christ: Vision of Kingdom and not of Tribe, Unity of Christ's Body, Prayer Intercession, spiritual battle, power evangelism and prior to all, the training of local workers.

Vision of Kingdom and not of Tribe

During some time, the biggest mistake found among the people of Israel was that they have changed their vision of kingdom to a vision of tribes. Thus, each tribe super valued themselves over the others, starting  to live a true dispute, and even wars, ones against the others.

When they started to have a vision of Kingdom, the battles started to be won easily and the conquest of territories became a reality. The whole is stronger than the parts.

The church must learn the lesson. It is time to abandon the small vision, that takes us to think only in our denomination, ministry or church. We need to think in the Kingdom of God, which is a lot bigger then our church, ministry or denomination. The Kingdom of God is …

  • When we open our selves to a vision of Kingdom, we add up our efforts and we can obtain a greater impact in the world.
  • There is no way we can (do | thrive into) missions without a vision of Kingdom. The little of each one of us will make a whole difference in the planting of the Kingdom of God on earth.

UNIT

The principle of unity is deeper and more including than the idea of union. Union relates to seeing a crowd of people in one same geographic space. Now, unity means thinking in the same way and dreaming the same dreams, having common projects and intentions, and walking in the same direction.

We must understand that, even though different, we are one only body in Christ having a bigger intention that binds us together, the fulfillment of the Great Commission.

Unity gives greater concentration of spiritual authority and, therefore, greater firepower on spiritual battle.

Unity must pass through the veil of the theorization to become visible to the world. Churches and denominations must fight to break the walls that have been built between them. We must preserve the unity in what is essential, respect the differences in what is secondary and in everything, spicing it with tolerance.

The unity of Christ's alliance begins at the cross which is based on his forgiving blood. This alliance grows into an alliance with all those that are in Christ. When we understand the principle of this alliance we give up our individualism and start  walking together, in the Spirit.

PRAYES INTERCESSION

Intercession is fundamental for the growth of God's Kingdom. To intercede is to place yourself in the place of the person for whom you are praying and feeling justs like the other one feels. The intercessor is someone whose heart is always full of love. The intercessor is always sensible to the voice of  God's Holy Spirit. The intercessor is always available to pray, no matter what time it is. Without intercession God's plan for the world cannot be fulfilled. Through intercession we  move out from time to eternity, shorten distances and transform history. When we intercede angels are released to work on our behalf.

For missionaries to have success in their work, it is necessary to have spiritual covering through intercession. The church has the responsibility to hold the ropes, as said by William Carey, the father of modern missions. He said to his  “partners” in the missionary project:  I'll go deep into the well to search for the lost ones, but you'll hold the ropes. The church holds the ropes making two basic things: contributing and interceding.

Spiritual Battle

Paul the apostle was the biggest missionary of all the times. It was through himt that the Holy Spirit  brought the revelation of  spirituial battle . In Ephesians 6:12, Paul says to us:  “For we wrestle[battle, war] not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places”.

Spiritual Battle is the war battled in the spiritual kingdom involving angels and demons whose aim is at the human soul. We must understand that missions are  not simply a human enterprise, but a task, above all, spiritual. In doing missions, we are taking lives out of the darkness into the light, out of  Satan's power into God's power. And this implies in spiritual war . In other words, our battle is not against the fundamentalist Moslem, our fight is not against the atheists, our fight is not against the ones who searches for spirits, our fight is not against the satanists. Our fight is not ,based on flesh, is not based in the physical reality, it is not personal, but it is against the devil! It is the devil who is slaving these lives, it is the devil who is deceiving them, it is the devil who is placing barriers avoiding them to accept  Jesus!

It is against this enemy that we have to fight, but we must not forget that our weapons are powerful in God to demolish the fortress of the darkness's. Alleluia!

Jesus taught us that if somebody wants to rob the house of a brave, it is first necessary to tie him up, to then rob his goods. Jesus was speaking about spiritual  battle. If we want to rob hell and pull out the lives from Satan's claws, we need to first tie the principalities and thepowers that act in the cities and nations. This is why, before taking a city or nation, we need to make a spiritual mapping of the place so that we can identify  the evil  forces that act there and therefore fight strategically and precisely

All those that are reborn, are soldiers, wanting or not. There are no choices, we have to battle in Christ's side for the implantation of the Kingdom

Spiritual revival

It is time for us to arouse from the spiritual sleep. The majority of our churches are entering a deep state of spiritual lethargy and coolness. The symptoms are varied: indifference to the Word, lack of commitment with the church, attachment to material things, lack of sanctity,  religious emptiness, egoism and prayer and fast abandonment

Certainly, this is the biggest challenge that God is placing in front of us: to promote a true spiritual revival in the Brazilian Church, towards  missions. Therefore, AMISTAD Mission is trying to promote and to participate actively of congresses, meetings and visits in many different denominations, on many countries, additionally training futures missionaries in partnership with other missionary agencies

Annually, we promote an event called Nations - International Missions Conference, so that leaders and members of the Brazilian Church are awakened to be committed to missions

Beyond that , we have a television program called TOUCHING THE NATIONS whose main focus is to spiritually arouse people and churches for our biggest task. We still count on with an Internet  radio stations called  NATIONS FM, whose address is www.nacoesfm.com.br that is being  God's  instrument  to spiritual revival. We still have our Intercession journal whose name is TOUCHING THE NATIONS.

TRAINING

Beyond awaking the Brazilian Church for a prayer intercession commitment and sending missionaries to the ends of the earth, AMISTAD possesses a school of transcultural training, prepared to train vocational ones. We believe that the missionary needs an adequate theological and missiological training. Our Missions School is prepared to receive up to 80 students per year. We are establishing support bases in many countries of the world.
